In April 2011 I ran my first 5K and got hooked.  Just 6 months before I weighed 320 pounds and had done a few weight loss challenges at work.  I had dropped to 260 during that time.  In 2011 and 2012 I ran anywhere from 12 to 20 races in each of those years.  I ended up running mostly 5Ks but also included 8Ks, 10Ks, and a 20K in late 2012.  I was running an average of 33 minute 5Ks in 2012.  Also in July 2012 I started working out with Fitness Image Results Bootcamp and then a Long Distance Training Program with Potomac River Running.  Fast forward to 2013, I have been with FIResults for about 9 months and am 3 weeks from the end of the 16 LDT program.  I started FIResults back up at 284, and weighed in at 240 this week.  I also ran the Run Your Heart Out 5K with PRR and finished in 27:23.  I can also run 10 miles without any issues, and look forward to the up coming 10 miler.  I also look forward to start sharing my daily training, races, and diet to towards achieving my goals.

I have set a few goals at the start of 2013

1.  Get to a weight of 220 pounds
2.  Bench lift 250 pounds
3.  20 pull ups
4.  Run my 5k in under 27 minutes
5.  Ride first 50 miler on bike
6.  Run first half marathon
7.  Run first full marathon
8.  Start training for triathlon
