I had a long day of priming the rooms up stairs. I was able to get two of the four bedrooms primed along with the hallway. I'm hoping to finish up one of the other rooms tomorrow and apply a second coat to the other rooms once I get home from work. Right now we are holding off on the master bedroom, as I need to do some demo work to remove a closet and renovate the bathroom. The bathroom currently has a 3' X 3' walk-in shower which we will conver to a jacuzzi style tub and shower. Also, the current sink is outside the bathroom, which I will relocate the current wall so the sink will be in the bathroom.

As for other jobs at the house, I power washed the front of the house around the door which really needed it. I also managed to mow the rest of the lawn that I started last weekend.

Other things I am hoping to accomplish this week:
  • Paint the upstairs (3 bedrooms and hallway)
  • Run wiring for the ceiling fans
  • Run wiring for the smoke detectors
  • Hang the ceiling fans
  • Hang the smoke detectors
  • Install new receptacles
  • Power wash the back porch

We closed on the house on March 30th. It needs work, so I have been ronovating since we bought it. I almost have the upstairs prepped for painting for this weekend. We also had the ventilation system cleaned today, since it looked like that the previous owners never changed the filters. I also have new carpet ordered for upstairs and the livingroom along with new Pella windows for the whole house.

Morgan was also born at 12:31 am on Tuesday, April 7th at the Reston Hospital. She weighed in at 7lbs 7oz and 20in long.

I know it's been quite a while. We have been quite busy in the last 1 1/2 years. We are now living in Northern Virginia, and loving every minute of it. Lynn and I have both finished our Masters through RIT, and I am 2 semester into my MBA at Syracuse University. Maegan is doing well, and is now 3 1/2 years old. We are also expecting our second daughter, Morgan, in mid April 2009. To have room for the new addition, we are also actively looking to buy a house, with the hope of closing on one by April 1st.

We are finally making the move... I accepted a new job in McLean VA for a company called NuWave Solutions and Lynn will be transferring with ITT. We will be moving to the Herndon VA are at the end of June. It's a big move, that we are both excited about, that will have an endless number of opportunities for both of us.

Wow, its been almost a year since I've posted here. Lets see whats happened in the last year... Maegan is now 18 months old, man its going so fast. Lynn has also started her Masters through RIT, and I will be finishing up in the Fall (just 2 more classes). I also started a few new hobbies and have continued to build old ones. To start with, I purchased many new Lego sets, which I will be creating a blog specifically for that hobby. I have also started to brew my own beer, make my own jerky, and I finally got my pistol permit. The beer brewing is going great. Its a lot easier than I thought. I am currently one my 5 batch, and I will be creating a blog for that hobby also. Making beef jerky is a lot of fun too. I have created many interesting flavored jerky. Finally, I got my pistol permit. It took about 6 months to get, but I finally got back in December. I ended up getting a Beretta Neos which is a .22. I will be golfing again this year hoping to improve my game. I shot an average of 62 last year on nine holes, I know, pretty bad, but I had fun, and enjoyed the different courses. This year I'll be playing on two leagues, one playing at the Rome Country Club and the other at Domenicos. I guess thats enough for now. Come back soon!
